Covid Guidelines while visiting hospitals for OPD – Kids and pregnant

Nov 04, 2022

Keeping the health and safety of patients, staff, and doctors, hospitals have laid out guidelines for patients visiting the hospital, be it for a hospital stay or just an outpatient procedure. These guidelines can vary depending on your needs and situations.

For pregnant women, the restrictions put in place previously due to the COVID outbreak may ease as more and more people get vaccinated. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor about safety measures you need to follow whenever you visit the hospital for an appointment. This may include wearing a mask, social distancing, and more.

Hospitals have come up with new ways to try and reduce the risk of COVID spread. Patients are advised to visit the clinic only at the scheduled time and maintain appropriate social distancing measures while waiting in the waiting area. Kids visiting the outpatient department need to be supervised by an adult at all times to make sure adequate safety measures are being taken.
